LOS ANGELES — Safe to say, the UCLA gymnastics team is peaking at the right time.

Jordan Chiles recorded the top score in the country this season and the Bruins finished their dual meet schedule with a 198.275-195.550 win over Iowa State, marking the sixth-best score in school history.

Chiles hit her second perfect 10 in two weeks to win the all-around with a 39.900, which also marks the highest all-around score in the country and the second-best ever by a Bruin.

Freshman Selena Harris was second at 39.750 and Emily Lee was third at 39.500 in her first appearance in all four events this season.

Senior exhibition routines dotted the rotations during the Bruins’ Senior Meet. Five seniors were honored: Emma Andres, Margzetta Frazier, Paige Hogan, Chloe Lashbrooke and Kalyany Steele.

To top if all off, it was UCLA’s second consecutive meet with a team score higher than 198.

The Bruins recorded their highest score of the season in vault (49.475) in their first rotation of the afternoon. Four gymnasts scored 8.50 or above in Emily Lee, Chae Campbell, Selena Harris and Chiles.

Chiles followed up in the next event, uneven bars, with her second-consecutive 10.0 in the event. Three other gymnasts went 9.900 or above.
