The Fourth of July drive-in style concert featuring Los Lobos and Mariachi El Bronx at So Cal Drive In at Oak Canyon Park in Silverado has officially been postponed.

Promoters said the decision was made out of an abundance of caution and the current COVID-19 climate. The number of positive cases continues to rise in Southern California and surrounding counties have received either direct shutdown orders or have been cautioned by Gov. Gavin Newsom this week.

The show has been rescheduled for Aug. 29. Current ticket holders will receive an email from the promoters but are encouraged to hold on to their tickets as they will be honored for the new date. Refunds are also available at point of purchase for those that are unable to make the new show date.

Promoters Jon Reiser of Garden Amp in Garden Grove, festival promoter Chris Lisk and Jim Filipan of FKOA Presents joined forces to create the So Cal Drive In to provide some form of live entertainment and employ those in the concert industry that have struggled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The trio worked with city and state officials to come up with a safety plan that followed all social distancing guidelines including putting the vehicles in spaces that were 12-feet wide and 18-feet long and ensuring all staff had the proper PPE including masks and gloves.
