The Golden State Warriors lost DeMarcus Cousins to an injury early in Game 2 of their first-round NBA playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers.

That didn’t seem to be a huge problem at the time. The Warriors big men Kevon Looney and Andrew Bogut helped pick up the slack and the team ended up with a 31-point lead. It looked as the Warriors would cruise to a win.

Maybe it has something to do with the numbers 3 and 1, but somehow, the Clippers clawed back into the game with a big night from Lou Williams. His hot shooting along with a timely 3-pointer by rookie Landry Shamet helped the team edge Golden State in an upset.

Cousins status is up in the air. He is expected to get an MRI within 24 hours.

The series continues Thursday with Game 3 in Los Angeles.
