Blue Jays’ Devon Travis out 4-6 weeks after undergoing knee surgery
Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Devon Travis will be out for four to six weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery to repair a meniscus tear in his left knee, the team announced.
The 28-year-old has been limited to just two games and four at-bats in spring training due to knee inflammation.
Travis has battled numerous injuries throughout his career to this point, appearing in just 332 games over the course of four Major League seasons (648 games).
He appeared in a career-high 103 games for Toronto in 2018, compiling a .232 average along with 11 home runs and 44 RBIs.
The club also announced that Mark Leiter Jr. will miss the 2018 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery.
