Cristiano Ronaldo’s lawyer has released a statement reiterating the player’s denial of the rape allegations made against him.Kathryn Mayorga, 34, told Der Spiegel in September that Ronaldo raped her in a Las Vegas penthouse in 2009.Ronaldo and Mayorga reportedly signed an agreement in 2010 that effectively bought her silence for $375,000.Documents that appear to show Ronaldo’s signature were published by Der Spiegel.But Ronaldo’s lawyer has said the allegations are based on “fabricated documents” which may have been sold to the media by a cyber criminal.Ronaldo’s position, according to Christiansen, is that what happened in 2009 was “completely consensual.”
