‘Hamilton’ star Renee Elise Goldsberry back in SF Bay Area for 2 shows
‘Hamilton’ star plays 2 S.F. concerts
“Hamilton” fans (you know who you are, all 150 million of you) remember Renee Elise Goldsberry as the actress who originated the role of Angelica Schuyler — aka, one of the three awesome Schuyler Sisters — in the earth-shattering musical, capturing a Tony Award for the role.
But the San Jose native has a much deeper resume than that, having also performed in Broadway productions of “The Color Purple,” “Rent” and “The Lion King.” She’s also had featured roles in such TV hits as “The Good Wife” and “Ally McBeal.”
Now Goldsberry is headed back to her old stamping grounds to make her San Francisco concert debut. Accompanied by a full band and background singers, she’ll deliver a wide range of numbers, hopefully including something from “Hamilton.”
Details: 8 p.m. Oct. 12-13; Marine’s Memorial Theatre, San Francisco; $40-$115; www.feinsteinsatthenikko.com.
