Ozzy Osbourne goes into surgery, postpones Bay Area concert
Ozzy Osbourne has postponed his Oct. 6 concert at Shoreline Amphitheatre at Mountain View due to a medical situation.
The heavy metal hero, known for both his work with the legendary Black Sabbath and in his own multiplatinum-selling solo career, reportedly needed to have surgery on his band.
“The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy-winning singer and songwriter is being treated for an infection, which required surgery on his hand this morning (Saturday, October 6),” according to a news release. “Osbourne will spend a couple of days at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles where he’ll remain under doctor’s care as they monitor the infection.”
The Shoreline concert, which is part of Osbourne’s No More Tours 2 farewell tour, has been postponed to October 16.
“Ticketholders for the October 6 show should hold on to their tickets, as they will be honored at the rescheduled date on October 16. Refunds are also available at point of purchase,” according to news release.
Opening act for Oct. 16 show is TBA.
The tour is expected to resume with shows Oct. 10 at Mattress Firm Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, Oct. 11 Hollywood Bowl (October 11) in Los Angeles and Oct. 13 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
