See Klay Thompson’s dog Rocco display mad skills at his master’s basketball camp
They say that after a few years of togetherness dog owners and their pets start to look like each other. In fact, the BBC reported a story in 2015 that asserted there is science to support such an observation.
(Spoiler alert: The basis of the phenomenon was people’s inclination to pick out a dog that looks like them.)
Whatever, there is no slight intended when we say the Warriors’ Klay Thompson and his famous dog Rocco have similar looks and personalities.
Don’t take if from me. Check out this video of Rocco from earlier this week, during Thompson’s three-day basketball camp in Southern California.
Notice the easy, super cool, side-to-side gait. This is one confident dog.

OK, so maybe not a dead ringer facially. But Rocco and Thompson are both tenacious, tireless, defenders. Here they are going one-on-one to see who pays for dinner:
Funny thing, Thompson told USA Today a while back that Rocco “is a great dude to do dribbling drills with. He’s a ball hog. Something about him and leather, whether it’s a football or basketball, it makes him go crazy. Football, basketball, skateboard. I’m like man, should I train him better?”
One last thing: 12up.com reported that Thompson recently shaved his signature goatee to a shadow of its former self. That could make it even more difficult to tell the master from man’s best friend. If you happen upon them remember, Rocco’s the one who has trouble going to his left.
