Former UCLA star Billy Knight was facing child molestation charges before death


According to the County of Maricopa in Arizona, former UCLA basketball player Billy Knight was facing six counts of molestation charges prior to his death early Sunday morning.

Knight was being charged with two counts of sexual conduct with a minor, two counts of sexual abuse, and two counts of molestation of a child. The report shows that the crimes were committed in April 2017 before Knight was indicted on June 13 of this year.

Former UCLA basketball player Billy Knight found dead on Phoenix roadway

Knight’s body was found by authorities at 2:45 a.m. Sunday on North Central Avenue in Phoenix. The Maricopa Medical Examiner determined that Knight’s death came by suicide from “multiple blunt force injuries”.

He left a video on Youtube late Saturday night titled “Billy Knight ‘I’m Sorry Lord’” before his suicide. Among other things, Knight said in the video: “I’ll either be in heaven, hell, or limbo. I’m willing to take that chance…”.

Knight, 39, was born and raised in Los Angeles, prepped at Westchester High School before playing at UCLA from 1998-2002.
