Ellen DeGeneres visits Bay Area on her first tour in 15 years
Ellen DeGeneres is finally heading back to the Bay Area.
The superstar comedian and TV personality is embarking on her first stand-up comedy tour in 15 years, which includes a three-night stand in San Francisco.
DeGeneres performs Aug. 15-17 at Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco.
Pre-sale tickets to the shows will be sold through Ticketmaster Verified Fan platform in “an effort to ensure tickets get into the hands of fans rather than bots,” according to a news release. Fans must register in advance to have a shot at getting those pre-sale tickets. Registration runs through 10 p.m. June 17. Then registered fans will be able to shop for those pre-sale tickets June 19-21, while supplies last.
Any remaining tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. June 22, www.livenation.com.
The tour finds DeGeneres visiting three cities over eight nights.
“I’m doing my first standup shows in 15 years,” DeGeneres tweeted. “I’m coming to Seattle, San Francisco and San Diego. Come see me.”
