Wild sign goaltending prospect Kaapo Kahkonen to entry-level deal
The Minnesota Wild have signed goaltending prospect Kappo Kahkonen to a two-year, entry-level contract.
Kahkonen went 20-23-12 with a 2.20 goals-against average, a .915 save percentage and six shutouts in 56 games for Lukko Rauma in the Finnish Elite League this season.
The 21-year-old was taken in the fourth round (109th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft.
He was the starter for Finland at the 2016 world juniors, helping the host nation win gold.
