Live playoff updates: Warriors vs. Spurs, Game 2 Monday

Get live playoff updates, news and analysis on Monday at 7:30 p.m. when the Warriors try to grab a 2-0 edge in their first-round series against the Spurs at Oracle.

The Warriors flipped the proverbial switch on Saturday, using a suffocating defense to rip the Spurs 113-92, but can they duplicate that effort? Using its defense as the catalyst, Golden State got a strong shooting performance from Klay Thompson (27 points on 11-of-13 shooting, including 5-of-6 on 3-pointers) Saturday to win for the ninth time in 10 games against San Antonio.

Andre Iguodala was a surprise starter at point guard and he helped anchor the defense during his 23 minutes of action. Quinn Cook, who filled in during Stephen Curry’s absence during the regular season, played 25 minutes off the banch.

The Spurs, who got a team-high 15 points from reserve Rudy Gay, could counter Steve Kerr’s lineup change with a switch of their own on Monday. Either Gay and/or center Pau Gasol could make their way into the lineup at tipoff.
