Vancouver Canucks prospect Adam Gaudette is among the 10 finalists for the Hobey Baker Award as the NCAA’s top player.

Gaudette, a junior with the Northeastern University Huskies, leads the NCAA with 30 goals and 59 points this season.

Vancouver selected the 21-year-old in the fifth round of the 2015 NHL Draft, 149th overall. The Braintree, Mass., native is one of several high-profile Canucks prospects that are expected to compete for a spot on the main roster next season.

He could very well make his NHL debut this spring, much in the same way Brock Boeser was brought in at the end of 2016-17.

Florida Panthers prospect Henrik Borgstrom (21 goals, 49 points) along with Dallas Stars pick and Canadian world junior Colton Point (1.74 goals-against average, .944 save percentage) are also up for the honour, which counts superstars Jack Eichel and Johnny Gaudreau among its recent recipients. New Jersey Devils defenceman Will Butcher won the award last year.

The finalists will be narrowed down to a final three on March 29 before the winner is announced on April 6.
