The Who vocalist Roger Daltrey brings solo tour to Oakland

The world knows him best as the front man for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame act The Who.

Yet, Roger Daltrey is also an accomplished solo artist.

The tremendous rock vocalist released his solo debut, “Daltrey,” in 1973 and has since delivered seven other solo platters.

His best-known solo tracks include “Giving It All Away,” “Free Me,” “Walking in My Sleep,” “After the Fire,” “Let Me Down Easy” and “Under a Raging Moon.”

Daltrey will likely showcase some of those tunes when he performs March 15 at the Fox Theater in Oakland.

And fans will be looking forward to hearing him play such Who classics as “I Can’t Explain,” “Pinball Wizard,” “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” “Substitute” and, of course, “My Generation.”
