China shows off 36 adorable giant panda cubs after record birth rate in 2017

36 panda cubs make their first appearance at China’s Giant Panda Protection and Research Centre.

The cubs are among the 42 born in 2017, of which 15 pairs are twins.

Some of the cubs were born to inexperienced mothers, so keepers help with additional care.

China has never bred more pandas in a year since it started captive breeding in the 1950s.
